Background

  Alex likes to make drawings which attempt to capture the essence of an idea through an expressive line. He is as happy working conceptully as making 'lifestyle' images and revels in drawing everyday objects. Part traditional drawing, part digital collage, his work has been used over the years on everything from Newspapers & magazines to packaging & Murals.

 

Large Commissions : 

A series of drawings for the re-branding of Chartered Accountants Grant Thornton. The drawings are to be used across the company's literature and printed large scale on office walls.

Harrods London Icon's packaging ; Illustrations of London Icons with a retro slant used on a range of Harrod's own brand Teas, Biscuits, Chocolates, tea towels, Aprons, tableware etc.

I.B.M brochure ; An Illustrated book of essays on local governance

 

Pfizer 50th Anniversary touring Exhibition ; A series of nine paintings produced on banners to celebrate the Anniversary of Pfizer touring Britain's hospitals.

Outside Interests :

  Alex is an obsessive swimmer & sometime Samba drummer. During his time with the London School of Samba, he played in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Notting Hill Carnival. He hangs onto an unnecessarily large record collection, some example of which can be found on the jukebox page.
